The emirat Abu Dhabi, the capital of the United Arab Emirates, is located on an island off the mainland in the Persian Gulf. This year the Triathlon Finals will take place there.

Our trip including flight from Frankfurt to Abu Dhabi, bus transfer, full board in the hotel as well as bike transport on the flight (included in the price) allows an ideal preparation for the competition. Arrival is on Monday, November 21st 2022 and return is on Sunday, November 27th 2022.

Individual arrival in Frankfurt.

10:20am: flight with Etihad EY0002 to Abu Dhabi (time difference +3 hours, flight time approx. 6 hours).

7:35pm: arrival in Abu Dhabi (local time)

After arrival bus transfer to the hotel (approx. 20 minutes drive).

Dinner at the hotel (full board included in the price).

Cancellations after August 25th 2022 will incur a 100% cancellation fee

The United Arab Emirates is severely affected by COVID-19 and is classified as a high-risk area. Current and detailed figures are provided by the National Disaster Management Authority, the United Arab Emirates Statistics Office and the World Health Organization (WHO).

Entry

Flight connections and entry and testing requirements can change quickly for the United Arab Emirates (UAE) due to the current Covid-19 pandemic. More information on current entry requirements can be obtained from Emirati authorities, the Emirati Embassy in Berlin and the airline.

Foreign travelers seeking a short-term stay in the United Arab Emirates (e.g. tourists or business people) may enter, provided they meet the general entry requirements. They must be able to provide proof of travel health insurance.

Travelers to Abu Dhabi must register on the "ICA Smart Travel Service" portal in time before departure. Transit travelers are exempt from this requirement. Foreign vaccination certificates can also be uploaded on the portal for recognition in the UAE (voluntary). GDRFA or ICA approval is not required for tourists entering Dubai.

Air travelers to Abu Dhabi must present a negative PCR test. The swab must usually have been taken no more than 48 hours prior to departure (from certain countries only 24 hours). The test result must be printed out in English or Arabic, or the language of the departure airport. Children under 12 years of age are exempt from the test requirement.

Upon entry at Abu Dhabi airport, another PCR test is mandatory. Depending on vaccination status and country of entry, one or two additional PCR tests may be required on subsequent days. The current regulations can be obtained at the airport. Children under 12 years of age are exempt from the testing requirements.

Travelers from countries outside the "Green List" who are unvaccinated or whose vaccinations are not recognized in the UAE are subject to a ten-day quarantine requirement in Abu Dhabi.

Quarantine may not be left, even for an early return from the UAE.
